First of all I think is a beautiful piece, his pose really keeps the eye in the centre of the piece. The pose creates a figure 8 and I think really give the photo a harmonious feeling. However the effect on the background is a little much, I think it could be toned down a bit, it makes the whole piece seem a little flat. I feel if the background were a little sharper it would really make this stand out. The pose, lighting and expression really are enough to drag the viewer in. Pretty much a perfect shot and I loved it as soon as I saw it, just on closer inspection I noticed this. But really beautiful, the lines his body creates is fantastic and the gradual progression of light to dark with the turn of his head gives this photo a clear and easy reading path. Made a really strong first impression on me.
