This is my first Critique, so please be gentle

When I spotted this deviation among the most popular of the last eight hours, I was blown away

My first thought - or rather feeling - was a fervent wish to see this picture as a giant advertisement poster on the side of the street. No image I have ever seen has triggered that longing. Why should I even wish for that? I still do not understand. It feels as if I had been hit by Cupid's arrow

Now while it is very common to arrange or form objects in the shape of a heart to express love for them, I have not encountered a heart carved out of the cream filling of a cookie. You decide whether the reason for this is my lack in expertise or ingenuity on the author's side. Either way, I do not attach importance to originality. Even if hundred others did something before you: Do not to hesitate to do it your way!

The minimalist execution is brilliant

No superfluous elements at all, nothing distracting. Just cookie, cream and love. It literally gets to the heart of it in the most simple way. Anything less, and it would become abstract. The contrast in brightness is quite strong, yet it is soft enough to appear non-aggressive. The picture instantly attracted my attention in a humble, pleasant way, bringing me into a friendly mood

The focus is excellent, the resolution high and the watermark nearly invisible. Absolutely fantastic.

One might create a more "flawless" cookie digitally, but I consider the imperfection to be its major strength. The smeared rim makes it appear as if I had actually just taken the upper half off myself. And I bet I am not the only one who does that

This is not some virtual model created in the computer, this is a real cookie. It could be my cookie. It is my cookie. It has been many times, and I wish it were right now

Can an advertisement have any greater success than evoking this yearning?

And still, I do not want to grab it and devour it hastily

Greed is a path to the Dark Side. No, I do not long to possess it, to gorge it, to subjugate it violently to my tyrant will. I want to cherish it!

My relation to this cookie is one of beauty and devotion, and this photograph captures it perfectly.
